Our Lady's Catholic Primary School have been lucky enough to have Barn-a-bs Pre-School onsite to provide our youngest children with a wonderful start to their education.
We offer a term time only pre-school provision for 2-4 year olds. We have a large outdoor space that children access for the majority of the day.
We have committed, experienced staff ready to welcome your child and help them reach their full potential ready for their next steps into primary school.
We keep parents updated through regular updates on our online learning journal (Tapestry). Where you can see the exciting things your child has been doing.
Pre-school is an exciting time for your child, they are learning and growing so fast. Remember from September 2024 all families will be entitled to 15 hours free childcare for 3 year olds. If your child is currently 2 you will need to apply for the working entitlement to receive 15 hours free childcare. Some families may still get 15 hours funding for economic reasons, you do not need to apply for this and will receive information on this automatically if this applies to you.
You may be entitled to 30 hours free childcare but you will need to apply on line with your national insurance number (please see the link below).
You can still pay for additional hours if needed. Prices for this are currently £15 for a 2 year old 3 hour session or £13.50 for a 3 year old 3 hour session.
Pre-school children can receive a hot school meal at lunchtime, if your child is not eligible for Free School Meals this is at a cost of £2.81 per day.
